The Church of the Holy Comforter is a catholic parish of the Episcopal
Diocese of Fort Worth, a fellowship of churches under the leadership
of a bishop.
Since 2008, our diocese is a part of the Anglican Province of the
Southern Cone, a province of the Worldwide Anglican Communion,
an international family of churches tracing their origins back to the
historic Church of England. All Anglican Churches are united through
their relationship and communion with the See of Canterbury,
England, with the Archbishop of Canterbury serving as spiritual head.
Our diocese is also a constituent member of the Anglican Church
in North America (see logo at page bottom). Some will find it interesting
that since 2008 we no longer affiliate with the national Episcopal
Church. Along with our Bisohp & most parishes in the Episcopal
Diocese of Ft. Worth, we pursued affiliation with a more biblical &
traditional province of the worldwide Anglican Communion.
While we are Anglicans, we are witnesses to the Catholic Faith in the
Anglican tradition. The best way to get to know our parish is to visit
us in person, and we hope you will join us in our worship and
mission! All visitors are invited to sign our guest register at the rear
of the church so that we can contact you with more information.
