The City of Cleburne was officially incorporated in 1871. In that same year, Anglican settlers founded The Church of the Holy Comforter to minister to the needs of the community. Our Sanctuary was completed in 1893, making it
the oldest building in town! Built in the style of Carpenter Gothic, stepping into our sanctuary is like stepping into another world, a world filled with
deep meaning, beauty, history, and truth. 

Anglicans believe that God speaks to and helps us in two primary ways. The first is through Holy Scripture. The second is through the Sacraments.

All true doctrine, Anglicans believe, is
derived from Holy Scripture, which is the wellspring and ground for testing all that is taught in the Church.
